Today marks Aaron and I's 9th anniversary together. It is hard to believe that 9 years has gone by so fast but at the same time I feel like he has been in my life forever. This post is dedicated to my husband, feel free to read it, but a warning to you it might not make sense or at times may be sappy. If you would like to hear our story, a bit lighter reading, click here.
Aaron,
2000-On our wedding night we headed out to Illinois for a reception out there. Our first road trip, we made it to Price. I am surprised we made it that far. ;) Remember that crazy apartment we lived in? It was a dump, looking back on it, but we sure felt proud of our little place.
2001- Moved to Illinois, I cried the whole way there but what a great experience we had, we grew closer together and learned a lot about each other. I loved meeting the people who made you who you are and influenced you growing up. I miss it. (I never thought I would say that!)
2002-We had a great Anniversary in St. Louis. You got a fantastic room overlooking the Arch. We would have had a better room if some stupid basketball player wouldn't have pulled some strings to steal the one you reserved. One of the most romantic get-aways we have had so far! This is the year we found out that we were going to be parents. You were so excited when I told you, I think you might have even cried.
2003-We moved back to Utah a week before I had Ethan, what a trip! We had our first baby boy, you were such a great daddy right from the start. We took our first family Vacation to Yellowstone. Good times.
2004-I remember this being a rough year, we were still with my parents wishing we could grow up and out of their house. You started school full time you were working off and on, looking for a more stable, cleaner job. You found one at PGM and they introduced us to a chocolate fountain, my life has never been the same.
2005- We grew up this year, we became home owners, okay condo owners, but it has been great! We found out we were pregnant with our little girl. You graduated with your associate degree, we were half way there!
2006- Emilee came into our lives early this year. She cried so much. I remember nights laying in bed next to you listening to her cry and me just crying into your shoulder wondering if we would ever make it with her. In some ways, I am still wondering.
2007- You graduated with your bachelors degree, phew, I rarely saw you because you were working full time, school full time and you were the Young Men's president. I know I never want to be a single mother again. You have always worked hard for our family and I appreciate the sacrifices you make for us.
2008- We were able to go back to Illinois to visit friends and family there. It was a great trip, the kids did great in the car and they loved meeting all of the new people. On that subject, we became mini van owners, urgh, something I said I would never do.
2009- We have had a rough go this year. A lot of trials that have tested us emotionally, physically, and spiritually. But I am glad that we have been a team and that when I needed you you were there to lift me up. I would like to think that I have done the same for you. I am so excited to grow our family one last time this year and to have you as the father of my children.
I love you Aaron, thanks for a great nine years. We only have Eternity to go!
XOXOXOX
Just so I can have it...Aaron's memories
