Projects!

Well as most of you know I get bored very easily. I also get sick of looking at the same ol' walls all of the time. The past few weeks I have been working on the Kids room. I have had the plan and all of the stuff to do it, I just needed to do it. So I did, Finally. I really do like the way that it looks, it is kinda bold, but it is a kids room. I will probably have to redo it if we ever move, but that won't be for a while. The thing I am most proud of is the peg border. I made that myself. I drilled the holes painted the pegs and put it all together myself. (Aaron did help me nail it up). By the way, I hire out ;).

So because that was so much fun...I made my way into Aaron's office. Some of you might know that Aaron, what would you call it?...Inherited a few books from his brother back in November. And when I say a few I mean like 1500. Add that to the 500 books we already had and yes you get more books in our house than we have square feet.

I banished them all to Aaron's office. He has been putting them on line to sell on Amazon. He sells about 5-6 a week, and the more he puts on the more bites he is getting. Well anyway they were all piled on his floor and desk and every time you looked at a stack it would fall over. I was so tired of it, I literally avoided that room as much as possible. One day he was looking for a book for what seemed like forever and I finally said this is ridiculous and we are putting up shelves. So with a little gentle persuasion from me Aaron came up with a plan and executed it. Let me just say that it was his plan. I helped in the moving of the books, but the hardest part was giving him control of the design. Let's just say graphic design and interior design is NOT the same thing. It turned out okay and the books have a home on the shelves. Maybe little by little I can sneak in there and fix a few things here and there, but we won't tell Aaron that.

Yes, my friends, that is the office floor. I really wish that I would have taken a before picture. It was crazy!

I LOVE the kids rooms! In fact, I think I am going to stick my kids names on their doors too. I really like that. Alisha, we really need to get together for lunch sometime.

Anyway, I am so impressed with your books! I am always buying books on Amazon so I am sure you guys are getting a bunch sold.

First let me say OH MY GOODNESS! You do have a few books! Although I didn't see it before the shelves make it look quite nice.

The kids room...LOVE IT! That green "accent" just on the top looks GREAT! I wouldn't think you would need to change it at all to sell (whenever you do), but hey, that's just me!

I absolutely love the peg border. And those books are awesome! I would love to have a library of books in my house, it's my dream. Of course, books that I chose.

I LOVE the kids room! So adorable, and I don't think it's too bold, just fun! Way to go on getting all the books off the floor, I can imagine how frustrating it would be to have them all over like that.

That is adorable! I also can't believe the books! Holy cow. The shelves look very nice though. I can't wait to see it in person at Book club!

Way to go on the peg board, lady! I have sort of similar plans for my baby room...well, I'm doing green, but a different shade, and I wanted to put a shelf as a runner along it, not a peg board...but let's just say that I have had the plans for months and the paint for weeks, and just can't seem to find the energy! I am inspired by yours though--kudos!

And as for the office--AMAZING transformation! Very impressive. I will have to check out the selection again, as I am ready for more!
