Okay, I have had a little bit of cabin fever the past few weeks. I have gotten a little tired of my four walls. I also had a tons of little unfinished projects around my house that I just wanted to get finished. So, I started with my bedroom. I painted it over a year ago and I just never got to finishing it. I have had material for the bed skirt and curtain, I just had to make them. So I finally did. I think it turned out really well. I took down my 80's style fan and painted it and put new hardware on it, it looks fantastic, no more 80's! Here are some pictures: (I don't have any before pictures though, sorry).
I also finally painted my Living room. I have lived here almost three years and have wanted to do it from day one. I finally got the motivation to do it. The motivation came because I had this stupid little picture above my couch. I have vaulted ceilings and the picture was just too small for the huge wall. I was looking through some magazines with a friend and saw this idea. We went to price mirrors and they were just to expensive for my budget. I went to IKEA the next week and they had a group of four mirrors for five dollars. I figured with my dad's tools and expertise I could make the frames for them. Dad took me down to his shop and he had just the right amount of beautiful cherry molding that I needed! So a joint effort between Me, Aaron and My dad I now have nine beautiful mirrors to hang on my wall- for a fraction of the cost!
Well, I could not hang these mirrors on my ugly white wall, so I finally got the motivation to paint. I am thrilled with the outcome! You should all come and see it!!

Alisha! Just to restate what I said on Thursday--AMAZING! That's exactly the look I wanted to do (but in red) in your living room, but couldn't get the same enthusiasm from my spouse (you should mention the time-consuming process of your walls on your blog!) and then got overwhelmed and underachieving... :) But you inspire me. When we get a house someday I expect you to fulfill your promise to help paint! :)
And hey--it was nice to talk to you today (thanks again for the lift)--let's have our kids play sometime.
