BEE'S GAME!

We have been lucky enough to have Aaron's Dad in town from Illinois. It has been an Exciting week! On Pioneer Day we were able to go to the Bee's game in Salt Lake. There were so many people there! Aaron hates crowds but he braved them for us (that's why he does not look happy in any of the pictures) the things we do for Family...
Of coarse you can not go to a Ball game without Junk food...there was plenty to go around!!
Ethan and his Cousin Marshall, snow cones were a hit...as long as they didn't taste like coconut!
Sam, Marshall & Ethan I don't think they knew there was a baseball game being played, they were having too much fun eating!
Of coarse Emilee joined in in Eating everything she could get her hands on...She looked like a little orphan by the end of the game.Had to throw it in Matt for all of the crap you give me... next time, leave my feet alone!
After the game they had fireworks. Thanks to the owner of Utah (aka Larry H. Miller) It was the best fireworks show I have ever been too. Because we were sitting on the berm they let us go down on the field so we wouldn't get hit by any stray fireworks. It was AWESOME!
Go Bee's! Layne and Maddie Goofing Around It was a long day, Ethan had already met his Smiling quota...I guess the same goes for Aaron!

BEAR LAKE!

Wow! July has already come and gone. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! We went to Bear Lake for the weekend with my family and it was a blast!! It is probably my favorite place to go on vacation-It actually felt like I got a vacation if you don't count the dreaded packing and unpacking!

Grandma and Grandpa Rented a Beach house for us all to stay in. It is so nice to go somewhere to get the sand off. The kids had a blast in the sand and in the water and this year--mild sunburns!!
Enjoy the pictures...

The cousins had a blast Sleeping together on the floor. Popcorn and a movie after a long day at the beach...what could be better?

Amanda and Alan brought a boat this year. It was the kid's first time on the boat. Ethan Loved it, Emilee wasn't quite sure.

It took Emilee a while but once she found the water she was hooked! The water is so clean and clear there! You can see in the background the boys are Skiing behind the Raft...Ethan would "Drive the boat" (aka Aaron pulling the raft) and Kayden would "Ski" Behind it on the board.

Ethan is a Fish, He had a great time playing at the beach!

The sand was a big hit too! We all took our turns building Castles!

Aaron mostly made castles...he had to get his creativity out somehow, there were no computers in sight! (Hallelujah)

Ethan and his Cousin Kayden...They were inseparable the whole weekend!

We had a great trip, We can't wait until next year!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!!

33 years ago today my wonderful husband came into this world, much to the chagrin of his older sister Ginny. (He was born on her Birthday, Happy Birthday to you too Ginny!!!)

It has been a crazy weekend and we haven't really got to focus a lot on Aaron so I am glad I get to share a few things with you... I have come up with a top ten list for Aaron of things you may or may not know about him...Here it Goes...

10. Aaron is a man of many voices and a great movie quoter. He will quote the movie and sound just like the person who said it...ask him if he has ever seen So I Married an Axe Murderer...it's hilarious!!

9. He is Obsessed with chairs...When we first moved into our condo he had six in his office, it's really not big enough for six...we've since whittled it down to three.

8. He hates Crowds and would much rather be home than anywhere else. Which brings us to ...

7. What he wanted for his birthday: To stay at home and watch Lord of the Rings all day and do nothing else...did he get it? Are you crazy, we have two little kids there is no watching movies and doing nothing else!

6. He eats ice cream after every meal he can (he got this from his dad). He makes the best Milk shakes ever!!!

5. He is a fantastic Artist...you should see his drawings!

4. He has a bachelors degree in Digital Entertainment and Game Design.

3. He is 33 years old and still watches cartoons, Mostly Avatar, Justice League and Sponge bob.

2. He enjoys playing Video games he says it is "Research" for his future jobs. (He uses this excuse for watching cartoons as well).

And the number one thing you may not know about Aaron is...

He is the best Husband and father in the entire world!! Ethan, Emilee and I are so lucky to have him in our lives!

We love you!! Happy Birthday!

Road Trip!

Wow! I finally have a minute to sit down and reflect on our trip to Illinois! It was the first long trip that we have been on as a family. It was so good to go back and see all of our friends and family.

The car ride out there was great thanks to Aaron. We left at 3pm and arrived in Illinois at 3pm. Aaron drove almost all the way. I pitched in for three hours, counting crossing over the central time zone (so it was really only 2 hours.) The kids slept most of the way. The DVD in our car was a blessing!

We did so many things out there I don't know where to start. We stayed with Aaron's dad. Of coarse we had to bring the Wii and we played a lot with that. Ethan was in heaven teaching his grandpa how to play. I love the homes in Illinois. They are so cute each house has a huge porch and a swing. I loved spending the evenings out there. We were able to go to some cemetery's and get pictures of gravestones, which I think is neat.

I got to go see some of the kids at the day care that I taught preschool at. They are now so big! I just want them to stay little for me. It was nice to see the teachers I worked with too. The kids and I got to meet a friend for Lunch. Amy is so great. I taught her little girl Lauren in Preschool and we became really good friends. It was nice to catch up with her, I wish I would have brought my camera to get a picture of her.

Our friends Connie and Ralph gave us a little open house so we could see a lot of church friends without traveling all around the town. They are such great people and we love them dearly! We miss the ward out there and know that they are doing great missionary work. There were a lot of new faces at church.

Our last night there we went to Kenny and Renae's for a wiener roast. It was so much fun. Our friend Alicia came with her three boys. Renae, Alicia and I were all pregnant together before we moved. It was the first time we were all together to let the boys play. All of them 5 years old now!!! They all hit it off and were sad when we had to break the party up.

I am sorry if this post is so random but there were so many things that went on that week it is hard to make sense of it all. We love all of our friends and Family out there and hope to see them all again really soon, we won't wait another five years!!
